| Turtleneck, Necklace, Shoes (Kohl's), Pants (Gap, thrifted) |
After last week's Stay or Go feature and the honest comments I received about the cardigan, I am back with another round of Stay or Go to have all of you help me decide if I should get rid of this mock turtleneck. I purchased this turtleneck several years ago at Kohl's and had loved the color. The reason I am on the fence about this top is because it is a little itchy with the elastic on the arms and the waist as well as that it is 3/4" sleeves and it's a turtleneck. It's one of those tops that is dependent on a certain type of weather. A turtleneck makes me think of being warm but the 3/4" sleeves make me think that it's made for warmer weather if that makes sense.
I do love the color, but the elastic always makes me end up putting it back in the closet. So, what's the verdict, should I keep it or donate it?
i do like the cute ruching details, but if it is itchy and you put it back on several occassions, i'd say it's not worth the discomfort. i usually stay away from turtlenecks because i hate feeling choked and/or itchy at my neck.

The color is very pretty, as are the little details. I like how you've styled it here and I can see what attracted you to the top... but if it's itchy, then it must go!
ReplyDeleteFunny - what you love about the shirt I don't - the color is only ok to me. Maybe it just doesn't photograph well. I like turtlenecks but I think I am the only person in the world who does :) - so if you haven't worn it in a few years I think it should be donated!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable. But if it itches, it's out in my book. Also, if you keep putting it back in your closet, it's just taking up valuable space.:)
ReplyDeleteI think it's really pretty on you! But I'd probably donate it. The mock turtle neck with the 3/4 sleeves is confusing. I can see how it would be dificult to wear... =/
ReplyDeleteI personally cannot stand things that are itchy, so it would be a no brainer for me! But I do like the way you have it styled here and I really love that necklace! But sometimes it's really about comfort over style!!
ReplyDeleteSince it is itchy I would give it away.
ReplyDeleteI like the sleeves and the waist, but if it is itchy, I would give it away for sure.
ReplyDeleteI really like the top! But if it's itchy and you don't think you will wear it send it down the road.
ReplyDeleteLove this shade of green on you!! The fit of that top is really flattering and I love that it has shape to it and it is not just a simple turtle neck!

it's cute, but if it's not comfortable then probably not worth it.

Oh I love your blog and think you have great fashion, so it kind of pains me to say, I think this is a go. You have so many great clothes that are super flattering and I don't know that this shirt is you at your best. And itchy is the worst offense of clothes...
ReplyDeleteDonate! I hate anything that's too itchy or weather dependent. I keep very few things that I can't wear when I want (like polyesters).
ReplyDeleteoooh it's so gorgeous. but if it's itchy, then let it go!

Based on how it looks alone, I'd say keep but there are too many comfortable clothes out there to waste your time on ones that itch!
ReplyDeleteI say let it go. Itchy is no good! Is there anyway to maybe take out the elastic?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting rid of it. Anything causing discomfort has to GO!

I like the look, really...have you tried wearing a camisole or something underneath, to see if that helps with the itchy? And I wear 3/4 length sleeve sweaters all of the time, which I think has the same look as a 3/4 length sleeve turtleneck :)
ReplyDeleteI agree to let it go if it's itchy and uncomfortable. It really does look great on you though. At least you'll always have this photo!
