Hey, long time no see! I didn't plan on taking a little hiatus, but I think I lost my mojo for awhile. I lost my fashion mojo and burned out with life in general. It's funny how quick it can happen. Plus, life and kids and all that fun stuff thrown in the mix ended up just being the perfect storm. Hopefully my little pity party is over for the time being and I, as well as Kayla, can get back into the swing of blogging again. We have missed all of you!
To get back into posting again, I chose my hot pink crops with a black and white combo that I wore to work today. After taking the photo, I realized I didn't wear any jewelry but my hoop earrings, but I think the hot pink pants are a big statement in themselves.
I have a Fresh Produce review coming up and hopefully Kayla and I will have a Mother/Daughter remix coming up in the near future too.
So...have any of you lost your fashion mojo? How did you get it back?
I ALWAYS forget jewellery! Glad you came back! Was starting to wonder...
ReplyDeleteI'm generally not a capris fan (wrong silhouette = funky truncated legs) but I really like how you styled these pants - they actually elongate your legs! Don't fret about the jewelry; I didn't even notice it wasn't there.
ReplyDeleteYes! I've lost my mojo a couple of times...and I was okay with it. It is what it is.
ReplyDeleteBut the good thing here is that...you got your mojo BACK! ;)
Welcome back! Love your pink pants and striped shirt. I almost never wear jewelry or other accessories. I forget too.
ReplyDeleteMissed you too! I love your combo today. So fun! NO accessories needed.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lose my mojo, I'll take a little break from blogging style photos and just let the web go on without me for a bit.
Hello friend! Happy to see you here. Your hair looks pretty and great color on those pants. It's good to take a break, I'm enjoying mine.
ReplyDeleteI was so excited when this post popped up on my Reader! Adorable outfit, even sans accessories. Lossing that fashion mojo is so easy to do. I'll go weeks in nothing but jeans and sweaters because I have no willpower to get dressed. Taking a break from blogging or posting outfit photos helps recharge your batteries. Hope to see you and Kayla back soon!
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering about you guys! Good to see you. I haven't lost my fashion mojo just yet, but I totally understand the need for a break!
ReplyDeleteLove the hot pink crops!!
I was wondering about you! It happens to all of us. I lost my mojo in January but am feeling much better now. I think we all need breaks from time to time. I love this look. Those pink crops are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI love how you style your pink crops without making them look too sweet!! Great little black blazer!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling you with the blogging/fashion burn out RIGHT NOW. I just posted yesterday about it haha. I'm glad you're back, and I hope the break was rejuvenating for you! I hope it'll be for me!

Well welcome back! You certainly came back with a bang! :) I love this, you look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI've lost my inspiration lots of times. I'm still not entirely sure I've got it back, but I'm trying to blog despite that.
love the stripes with the hot pink
ReplyDeletea good browse through some catalogs and mags always gets my fashion juices flowing when i am in a slump!
glad to know you all are doing okay

Hey stranger! Good to have you back. I got burned out of fashion blogging so I switched to advice posts. Change is good, and everyone needs a break now and then. I get bored of fashion when I have no events/parties/get-togethers planned. I need to be "out there" to be interested in what I'm wearing.
ReplyDeleteAny tips on wearing spring pastels? I always seem to look washed out so I tend to stick to bold, saturated colors. Maybe my coloring is all wrong for pastels.
this is a wonderful welcome back outfit. I noticed that quite a lot of us seemed to be in a slump last week. I'm wondering if a tax deadline had anything to do with it...
ReplyDeleteI get it. It happens to me as well. Thanks for answering my email. I was starting to get worried about you.
ReplyDeleteLove the hot pink pants. Way to get back into your groove!
xo,
Tracy
Don't beat yourself up. It happens. I'm in a bit of one now. I find seasons changing helps, as does spending time playing in my closet laying out possible outfits (which I then photograph), or browsing on pinterest - neither of which I've had much time for. Happy to have you back!
ReplyDeleteI feel you! Sometimes, life just takes over! I wrote a post a while back about losing mojo: http://j9styleblog.com/2011/09/05/i-lost-my-mojo/ and I also wrote a post about life balance: http://j9styleblog.com/2012/03/26/the-balancing-act-j9s-top-9-tips-for-achieving-balance/
ReplyDeleteHope they help. It's ok to have fashion blogger's block sometimes.
