Well howdy! Long time no see (again). Things have been busy as usual around here, and guess what? We missed our one year blog anniversary May 8th! We had all these grand plans for a yearly round up post to thank everyone that we have met and corresponded with the past year, but it just didn't happen. Although we have both been crazy busy, we still did manage to take a few photos (and still get dressed everyday). These are two of our favorite outfits from this past week:
Kayla:
| On Kayla: Dress (Merona, Goodwill, Shoes Target) |
This is something that I wore for a mock interview at school. We are brushing up on our interviewing skills for the "real world" when we graduate. I decided to go with a simple Little Black Dress with this pretty detailing on the front. There is a cute little ribbon bow in the back too. I felt great all day, although I did have a hard time walking in the heels all day, lol. Next week I am heading to take my driving exam to get my license, wish me luck! I am also taking the state nursing assistant test the following week, so my life has been studying and driving.
Heather:
| On Heather: Denim Top (Walmart), Skirt (Apt. 9, Kohl's), Belt (from pants), Sandals (Cato) |
Can I just say that I am in love with this skirt? The colors are vibrant and I felt so comfortable yet stylish all day. It also helped that I got a ton of compliments, so I would say this skirt is definitely a keeper. The skirt is a pretty recent purchase with some Kohl's cash, so if you like it, head to Kohl's. The denim shirt was added due to a little chilly spell we had for a day, but I really like this shirt with the skirt and the brown accessories. Doesn't Kayla look gorgeous in the photo above? I am so proud of her for doing so well in school and growing up into such a wonderful young lady.
As we said above, things have been super crazy busy for us, but we wanted to get a post in and say Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's, stepmoms, grandmas, mothers to be, and any other woman out there. Also, thank you so much to everyone who has come along on our fashion journey this past year. We have learned so much about growing, evolving, fashion challenges, meeting awesome people (you all know who you are), and being welcomed into the fashion blogging community. We have family coming in and Miss M's big 7th birthday bash this weekend, so if we don't make it back, have a great weekend! Until next time...
I am always so happy to new posts from you ladies! Congratulations on the one-year anniversary and two beautiful outfits. Kayla, I love your interview look - so classic and timeless. And Heather, I love that you paired your denim top with a maxi skirt. Lovely! Hope the two of you have a great weekend!

Like Callie, I love your posts. And this one is no exception. By coincidence, I bought a dress at Kohls today (on my blog). Great prices there.
