Orange and Yellow with a Little Bit of Nude

Top & Skirt (New York & Co), Shoes (Target)
Today's title is not very creative, but I just couldn't think of anything else!  What can I say? Some days the creative juices are flowing a little better than others.

This orange/tangerine top is one of my favorite colors for summer.  It's bright, it's summery, and looks great paired with neutrals, white or other pops of color.  I knew that this yellow belt would be the perfect accent to the outfit.

Since my creative juices obviously aren't flowing today, I don't really have much to say except that I cannot get that song "Call Me Maybe" out of my head!  What are you listening to right now?

Have a great day. I hope your creative juices are a little better than mine.

  3. The fit and color of your shirt is great. I like the balance of brights on top with neutrals on the bottom. The only time I listen to radio is the drive between my home and Lil C's preschool. For weeks it's been on a pop station and I got sick of listening to the same songs (same exact line-up every morning) that I finally changed it to a country station. That's what I'm tuning into these days. If I'm home, it's a mix of oldies, blues and jazz on the ipod.

  4. Some days you're too tired to come up with something creative and that's OK. I love the tangerine and pop of yellow, the belt really makes the look! I've in love with The Civil Wars right now, the song Poison & Wine is on loop on iPod!

  5. The belt is the key. Not just the pop of color but the stylish way you tied it. That always impresses me.

I know it's common these days to use "nude" to describe color, but when I see it (like in your title), my antennae immediately go up expecting something else. Of course, I remembered it's your blog and, thus, unlikely to display anything outrageous, but I was still more than a little curious.

  6. Well great, now I have that song stuck in my head too. :)

I love those two colors together, I think it's unexpected and that makes the outfit creative! You look fantastic.

  7. Since we're about the same age you'll totally understand this comment. Yesterday I was grabbing lunch at a food court and the song call me maybe was playing...the next song was say you'll be there. Sorry..I'd rather have some who will be there than call me maybe ;)

  8. I have had a blog open for the past hour and I still don't have a "clever" title for it. Sigh, this is probably a sign I need more sleep. The outfit is great though!!

  9. Did anyone tell you that you can wear a skirt like nobody's business. I wish skirts were half as flattering on my body!

I listen to whatever is on the car radio; a little bit of contemporary and a whole lot of classical.

  10. I have some days where I cant get that song out of my head either! But onto the outfit..you look so well put together. I think the belt and the shoes really pull it all together and give it a little something more:)
